HOLCIM Bacnotan signed MOA

Last November 3, 2008 another Holcim plant add to the list of Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. (AESI) as another client for the power factor correction aside for Holcim Davao and Lugait. Holcim- La Union located in Quirino Bacnotan La Union entered in the memorandum of agreement with AESI to correct their power factor.
Holcim Philippines Chief Operating Officer Ian Thackway and Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. Vice President and COO Mr. Benjamin Cariaso signed the Memorandum of Agreement on November 3, 2008 for the power factor correction project of Holcim la Union. Witnessing the signing were Aboitiz Energy Solutions, Inc. General Manager Aaron O. Berin and Mr. Jaime Y. Descallar Plant Manager of Holcim Phillipines. Also present in the MOA signing was the Business Development Department of Holcim Philippnes led by Engr. Gonzalo Julian Jr. and Ms. Rea Mae Caracena.

Holcim La Union has average of 6.9 Megawatt-Hour (MW-hr) and has an average peak demand of 13.5 Megawatt (MW) based on their Transco billing.
 
The memorandum of agreement covers a three years period in which AESI will conduct monthly maintenance, inspection and monitoring a of capacitor banks to ensure that the capacitors are in good operating condition.
